Designation: Recruitment for the post of Officers & Clerk-Cum-Cashiers (Office Assistants)

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2010 : 18 - 26 Years for both the posts.

Educational Qualification :
For Officers (Post Code- 1) :-
Degree of a recognised university in any discipline or its equivalent.
Proficiency in local language as may be laid down by the board but candidate must have good knowledge / command on Hindi and English languages also.
Preference will be given to candidates with good computer knowledge.

For Office Assistants (Post Code-2)
Degree of recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent; or
Pass with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD/EXS categories) in aggregate in Higher Secondary Examination of 10+2+3 pattern/ XI Std. of 11+3 pattern/ Pre-degree or Intermediate or any equivalent examination; or
Diploma in Banking recognized by Central Govt./ State or Union Territory; or
Pass with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD/EXS categories) in aggregate in Matriculation / Senior School Certificate (old pattern) / or equivalent
AND
The candidate must have knowledge of English language
The candidate must have proficiency in local language i.e. Hindi and must have passed “Hindi” as one of the subjects at Matriculation/ Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or at equivalent level
Preference will be given to candidates with Computer knowledge.

The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of written test and interview.

Probation : The candidates finally selected will be under probation of - For Officers = 2 Years and For Office Assistants = 1 Year.

Company Profile:

Parvatiya Gramin Bank with its Head Office at Chamba, Himachal Pradesh and sponsored by State Bank of India was established on 2nd November 1985 under the Regional Rural Banks Act 1976. Presently, the Bank is operating in the district of Chamba. This bank is the only Regional Rural Bank sponsored by State Bank of India in Himachal Pradesh.

A suryavanshi Rajput, Meru Verman, who was said to have migrated from Ayodhya, founded the erstwhile Chamba State in the middle of the 6th century AD. He conquered the local petty chiefs and made ‘Brahampura’ now called Bharmour as his capital. Sahil Verman who ruled around 830AD extended his rule to lower Ravi valley and shifted the capital from Bharmour to present Chamba town, which is also known as “ Shiv Bhoomi” . It is said that Chamba obtained its name from Champavati, the daughter of Sahil Verman. This town was founded in 930AD since then it had been the capital of erstwhile Chamba State. It was founded as administrative unit after the merger of erstwhile princely state with Himachal on 15th April, 1948 and there after as a result of reorganization of erstwhile state of Punjab, the hill pockets of Dalhousie and Bakloh Cantt were merged with this district.
